The patient had painful shoulder movement that could have been attributed to rotator cuff and acromioclavicular joint disease. However, magnetic resonance imaging and electromyography were compatible with trapping of the suprascapular nerve. The treatment of rotator cuff disease and excision of the lipoma led to the resolution of the patient's symptoms. This case is presented as an unusual cause of suprascapular nerve entrapment with a review of its course and anatomy.

The actual lipoma may be very far from the liposuction site and this is an added advantage in this mode of treatment. The endoscopic removal of lipoma is done in cases of gastrointestinal growth and may cause bleeding or perforation if the base of the lipoma is very large. 10. To increase the accuracy of the diagnosis and to be safe, imaging techniques must be combined with fine-needle aspiration. Generally, fine needle aspiration cytology is not performed because the lipoma can be totally removed with the capsule by minor surgery and the difficulty of undergoing procedures investigation is saved.
